Quick Details
Coasteering is basically mountaineering along a coastline, treating the natural environment and obstacles as a giant playground! We offer two types of session, based around different times of the tide. These included sea swimming, rock climbing, caving , foraging, and rock jumping.
You need to be aged 8yrs upwards for our Low Tide sessions and learn about the unique history, geology, wildlife and potential foraging opportunities of this extraordinarily beautiful area.
For anyone 12 years upwards then our High Tide sessions are for the more adrenaline fuelled. You will need to be confident in the water and can swim 100m.
This is offered through our sister company Freshwater Bay Coasteering, you can book through here but all communication will come from FBC.
Upon arrival you will meet our friendly team who will kit you out with a warm winter wetsuit, a helmet and a buoyancy aid.
Your two-hour session will be guided by an instructor who will help you to explore the stunning Freshwater Bay. A session will involve sea swimming along the cliff line around the headlands, scrambling across the rocks, discovering the caves and using the cliffs for jumps.
To preserve the life of our wetsuits, we ask all our customers to bring an old pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit.
An old pair of trainers or beach shoes that have a good grip for climbing over rocks.
