Whether you’re new to stand up paddle boarding and yoga, or take part in one or both on a regular basis, iSurf with Kali Yoga (Kali Pearce) will assess your capabilities and tailor professional training and instruction to suit the level you’re currently at. SUP Yoga is ideal for anyone who wants to improve their strength and fitness, whilst challenging their balance too!

What you’ll do

Combining traditional yoga postures with stand up paddle boarding, SUP Yoga is a fantastic activity that exercises both the body and mind. In general SUP helps to improve upper body fitness and core strength but when combined with yoga the effects are greatly enhanced. Floating on a stand up paddle board requires a good level of balance and stability, so holding yoga positions can be a real challenge and the workout is intensified. During the sessions, you’ll not only get to grips with the basics of SUP, but you’ll also improve your balance and flexibility. SUP Yoga lessons are taught by professional, qualified Yoga Instructors who will work with you to develop your posture and strength.

Get kitted out

The peacefulness of floating on the water complements the meditative nature of yoga well, leaving you feeling relaxed and invigorated. iSurf will provide all the equipment you’ll need including a SUP paddle and board. We use inflatable paddle boards to learn on; the Vandal IQ 10’1 and 10’7 – it makes for a very comfortable yoga mat!

SUP yoga on the Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight is a beautiful and relaxing place to try SUP Yoga with lots of great locations for us to visit. iSurf is a fully mobile surf school so we’ll pack up the van with all the equipment you’ll need and meet you at any one of our fantastic SUP spots, from Newtown Creek or Yarmouth Estuary, to Freshwater Bay.

Times, dates and availability

SUP Yoga is at it’s most enjoyable during the summer months, when the weather’s a little warmer! We’ll be running regular sessions and courses at various locations on the island so please get in touch for more details on our next lesson.
